- The purpose of the Project is to support long term delivery of adequate recycled water for the 1158 zone. The Project consists of upgrades to the recycled water pump station at the RP-1 Facility located in the City of Ontario. A portion of the recycled water generated at RP-1 is delivered to the 1158 pressure zone recycled water system. The Project will upgrade and replace two existing 400 HP pump and motors with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) with two 500 horsepower (HP) and motors with VFD’s. All Project related work will be conducted within the existing RP-1 Facility.

The Project site can be found on the USGS Guasti, Calif. 7.5’ Topographic Quadrangle map. Specifically, the Project is located within Section 3, Township 2 South, Range 7 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, as depicted on the USGS –Guasti, Calif., Quadrangle, 7.5 Minute Series topographic maps.

- The Project qualifies for a Categorical Exemption under Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines from CEQA requirements because it, “consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination.”
