Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2015-0160-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Sierra Pacific Industries. This project includes replacement and/or restoration of six existing crossings within the King fire area that were damaged or adversely impacted by storm events following the fire and two new water drafting sites necessary to remove substantially damaged timber. Activities include: re-establishment of channels and decommissioning of crossings at locations where plastic and metal corrugated pipes (culverts) were destroyed or compromised by fire (Pine Flat, Sonion 1); replacement of culverts destroyed or compromised by fire or substantially damaged during post-fire precipitation events (Sonion 2, Sunsad Yeti 1, Yeti 3); removal of accumulated sediment from watercourses and crossing locations due to post-fire runoff; and construction of water drafting sites necessary to conduct Emergency Timber Salvage operations (Yeti 2, Yeti 4).
