Document Description
It has been determined that this item is or may be highly reactive and or ignitable and must be stabilized prior to being transported offsite. The item is currently being stored inside a laboratory at Los Angeles City of RSM, Hyperion SAFE Center, Playa Del Rey, CA. The chemical is potential safety hazard and presents an unacceptable risk for continued storage. Los Angeles City of RSM, Hyperion SAFE Center does not have a permit for the treatment of the hazardous waste, and therefore DTSC has determined that as a safety precaution to prevent an accident or severe injury, an Emergency Permit should be issued for CHES to chemically stabilize the hazardous waste prior to transportation off site.
