Document Description
DTSC pursuant to authority granted under Chapter 6.5, Cal. code Regs., title 22, Section 66270.61 has issued an emergency permit to Tyco Electronics to treat hazardous waste by chemical stabilization. The chemicals are expired and are currently being stored inside a storage area at the Tyco Electronics facility located at 304 Constitution Drive in Menlo Park, CA. The treatment of these items will be carried out by CHES and involves the addition of a solvent to the containers to reduce the reactive characteristic of the chemicals. The treatment is anticipated to occur on August 17, 2015 in an exclusion zone at the facility.
