Document Description
SWRCB as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit. The City of Shafter proposes to construct a new Well No. 16 to replace the existing Well No. 6. Both wells have the same capacity (1,000 gpm). Well No. 6 is currently abandoned. The water from Well No. 16 will be provide drinking water to the City. The project includes the addition of a 2,000 gallon hydropneumatic pressure tank and chlorination facilities at the well site. The well site is owned by the City of Shafter.
