Document Description
Sweetwater Authority is proposing to install a hydroelectric station at the Perdue Water Treatment Plant (Perdue Plant) to generate and benefit from hydroelectric power, while at the same time reducing its footprint on the environment (proposed project). The hydroelectric station will have a total system power production of 580 kW, with an estimated annual generating capacity of 3,784 megawatt-hours. Excess power generated but not used at the Perdue Plant will be sold to San Diego County Water Authority's Pipeline 3 via the existing National City & South Bay No. 1 Connection (NC/SB1) turnout will be the source of pressure and flow to the new hydroelectric station.
