The purpose and need of the proposed management actions in the Elkins Flat Restoration project area is to: 1. Decrease erosion and surface runoff within the project area. 2. Decrease the amount of sediment entering Middle Dry Creek. 3. Provide a sustainable alternative staging area for OHV enthusiasts and campers displaced from the project site.
