Document Description
Project is limited to the operations and maintenance of a surface water diversion and fishway facilities in Corralitos Creek. The diversion structure consists of a weir across the stream channel and an upstream intake tower. The weir is concrete and is approx. 8.5 feet tall, 35 feet wide and 52.5 feet in length. The weir includes a 31-foot ogee type spillway in the channel along the left bank (look downstream) and a fish ladder along the right bank. Flows are diverted through the intake tower on the left bank about 25 feet upstream of the weir and the maximum instantaneous rate of surface water withdrawal is 3.9 cubic feet per second. The Permittee claims basis of right to divert water under a pre-1914 diversion right. The CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2015-0201-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of Watsonville as represented by Steve Palmisano.
