Document Description
The Alameda-North Bay Farm Island Pipeline Crossings Project involves construction of three new 24-inch transmission pipelines underneath the Oakland Estuary (Estuary) and within the Cities of Oakland and Alameda. Crossing NO. 1 consists of approx. 10,500 feet of in-street pipeline form Madison Street and Eight Street (Oakland) to Sherman Street and Lincoln Ave. (Alameda Island) and 1,800 feet of pipeline crossing under the Estuary. Crossing NO. 1 will include work on 8th Street, Madison Street, 5th Street, 2nd Street, Oak Street, Embarcadero West, Fallon Street, Marina Village Parkway, Challenger Drive, Atlantic Ave., and Sherman Street, Crossing NO. 2 consists of approx. 4,200 feet of in-street pipeline from San Jose Avenue and Pearl Street (Alameda Island) to Veterans Court, Peach Street, San Jose Avenue, Versailles Ave., Pearl Street, and Bridgeview Isle. Crossing NO. 3 consists of approx. 3,800 feet of in-street pipeline from Ford Street and 29th Avenue (Oakland) to Lincoln Avenue and Tilden Way (Alameda) and 1,400 feet of pipeline crossing under the Estuary. Crossing NO. 3 includes work on 29th Avenue, Ford St., Derby Avenue, Broadway, Tilden Way, Clement Ave., Everett Street, and Lincoln Avenue. Crossing No. 1 would begin design in Jan 2017 followed by a two-year construction period from 2018 to 2019. Design and construction of Crossing No. 2 is planned for 2020 through 2022 and a Crossing No. 3 is planned for 2022 through 2024.
