Document Description
The County of Tuolumne is preparing an update to its existing Housing Element, a State-mandated policy documents that is a component of the Tuolumne County General Plan. The Housing Element is one of 18 elements of the County's General Plan. The Housing Element identifies and assesses the County's existing and projected housing needs and provides an inventory of constraints and resources relevant to meeting these needs. The Housing Element must also identify how the county will meet its share of the regional housing need, commonly referred to as the regional housing needs allocation (RHNA). Tuolumne County's RHNA allocation for the 2024-2029 period is two new units. Several amendments to land use regulations or zoning are included as part of the Housing Element
