The District is proposing to expand the existing Community College facilities. The proposed project would add ~4,398 full time equivalent students. Enrollment is assumed to be balanced at full build-out between daytime and nighttime students (50/50). At full buildout, the MVC would contain 591,161 sf of building area and 3,451 parking spaces. New construction includes math and science, student svcs, performing arts, gym & support facilities, allied health, campus police, student center, and multi-disciplinary instruction buildings, two parking structures, 7,000 seat stadium and field house, practice field, tennis courts, and various related utility improvements including an emergency generator.
