Document Description
On March 1, 2016, the City Council of the City of Monterey adopted second reading of an ordinance rezoning the planning area for the Waterfront Master Plan. The City Council had previously adopted the Neg Dec for the Waterfront Master Plan on February 16, 2016, at which time the council also adopted the Waterfront Master Plan and conducted first reading of the ordinance. An NOD was filed at that time. The Master Plan serves as a guide for future activities within the planning area. The Master Plan creates a vision for the planning area that implements General Plan and Local Coastal Plan goals, policies, and programs. The key components of the Master Plan include: goals, policies, programs, and projects for mobility, recreation, parking, public facilities, fiscal, and implementation; land use and development objectives, standards and design guidelines; and financing and implementation.
