Document Description
The proposed Project entails the conversion of septic systems within Fairmead, Madera County [County Maintenance District (MD) -33)] to regional wastewater treatment at the existing City of Chowchilla Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF). The proposed project therefore, includes the installation gravity collection system within the town of Fairmead, a pump station, and approximately four mile forcemain pipe north to the existing Chowchilla WWTF. At build-out, MD-33 will require approximately 0.1 MGD of average dry weather flow and the existing plant has 0.8 MGD available average dry weather flow capacity. Therefore, upgrades to the Chowchilla WWTF are not necessary and operations will remain similar to current conditions.
