The project proposes street improvements at the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard, including the construction of additional left turn lanes, additional through lanes, additional right turn lanes, modifying existing signals and striping, and altering existing street parking restrictions. Improvements also include the acquisition of additional street right of way from private parcel owners, demolition of an existing commercial shopping center and one single family residence, alteration of existing curb locations, modification of existing street medians, and the relocation of existing utilities including SCE overhead lines, communication lines, drainage inlets, fire hydrants, water meters, bus stop amenities, and other street appurtenances.
