Document Description
The City of Palm Desert is preparing an update to its existing General Plan, which was extensively updated in 1980 and, again in 2004. The update will focus on key areas of the City, including the 111 corridor/City Center and the areas around the Cal State University campus. The General Plan update will also include goals and policies that provide the City with tools to seek pedestrian oriented development patterns to diversify the City's existing primarily automobile-oriented development patterns and realize both a true City Center and a vibrant university campus area.
