The project consists of the operation of temporary promotional activities, as defined in Bakersfield Municipal Code Chapter 5.51, through January 1, 2019. The proposed temporary promotional activities consist of Bakersfield Halloween Town (last weekend of September through the first weekend of November), Bakersfield Christmas Town (day after Thanksgiving through New Year's Day), and four additional 2-day events held on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the remainder of the year. The maximum proposed operating hours are between 5:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., depending upon the specific event and day of the week.
