Document Description
The Project includes treating 0.04 miles of stream by removing an existing Arizona-type concrete crossing and an imbedded culvert at Crossing 3 along Refugio Road. The fish barrier will be replaced with a 53-foot concrete culvert with a 12-foot rise designed to withstand 100-year flood events. The bridge will be secured upon spread footings and protected from scour with vegetated Rock Slope PRotection (RSP) and Engineered Sreambed Material (ESM). Wing-walls to the crossing will be constructed upstream and downstream of the new bridge. To improve fish passage conditions and replicate a natural channel within the Project area will be used as profile control to stabilize the creek bed.
