Document Description
The Vino Farms Irrigation Pipe Installation project involves the replacement of a deteriorated 12-inch diameter irrigation pipe. The new steel pipe will be the same size, be replaced on the same footprint, and will serve the same function as the old pipe. most of the 225 feet of pipe will be unearthed with an excavator. Portions of the pipe are above ground and cannot be accessed by the excavator will be removed with hand tools to preserve the surrounding vegetation. A total of 73 cubic yards of dirt, 1.9 cubic yards units of aggregate base, and 1.6 cubic yards of cement slurry will be used to cover the pipe. As a result there will be permanent impact to 0.005 acres to native grassland. approx. 15 feet of pipe will be replaced below the mean lower low water mark, and a total of 60 feet replaced below the mean higher water mark. Work will be performed at low tide and the pipe will take up the same footprint, so in-water work will be limited and result in no permanent impacts to aquatic habitat take up the same footprint, so in-water work will be limited and result in no permanent impacts to aquatic habitat.
