Document Description
The items requested to be treatede area two MK25 flares. The items were generated from Navy training on base. The Naval Air Facility (NAF) Bombing Range has been chosen as the closest, safest, and most appropriate location for disposal. Additional items may be treated if they follow the same treatment procedures listed in the June 30, 2015 workplan submitted to DTSC. The items along with other items that may be discovered will be transported to the NAF Bombing Range where they will be treated by open detonation. The area will be inspected after treatment to ensure that there is no release of hazardous waste from the area.
