Document Description
This fire and fuels management project was developed in order to reduce the threat of wildfire that has the potential to impact public and private property along with watershed resources found within and around the community of Manton and Battle Creek's South Fork Canyon. The fuel treatments will disrupt the continuity of wildland fuels. In addition, these treatments will improve access and egress for land owners, land managers and fire fighting personnel as well as improve roads within the project area as significant fuel breaks and defensible space from which fire suppression operations can be conducted.
