Document Description
Project will involve the replacement of approx. 400 feet of buried waterline at Deadwood Conservation Camp. The waterline crosses the channel at McAdams Creek an overflow channel at McAdams Creek (see attached map). This section of McAdams Creek has berms approx. 6' high which confine the flow in both the main channel and the overflow channel. In order to dig the required 2' wide by 4' deep trench with a backhoe or excavator, an approx. 12' wide flattened area will be constructed through the existing berms that confine the channel and overflow channel. After the lines are installed, bedded in sand and covered, the berms will be reinstalled to their original condition with a tractor and backhoe. Any exposed soil material that could erode into the channel or overflow channel will be heavily mulched with straw.
