Document Description
The project is limited to removal of an existing deteriorated gauging weir using hand tools and subsequently construction of a new gauging weir with a low flow measuring box in the same location. This project is necessary under FERC re-licensing for the Upper American River Project. The new weir will be constructed of approximately 6 cubic yards of concrete. The area will be dewatered during demolition of the existing weir and construction of the new weir. A pipe will be placed at the discharge point on the Buck Island Dam and water will be routed around the project site.
