Document Description
The County is proposing to redevelop the existing animal control and shelter facility located on the project site. The new facility would be up to 30,000 sf in size, and provide approximately 21,338 sf less in indoor service space area than the existing animal control and shelter facility. The existing set of buildings would eventually be demolished once the new facility is fully operational. The new animal control and shelter facility will offer similar services to the existing facility, and would generally include: public receiving, administration/support areas, domestic animal holding, animal support spaces, family support services, clinic (spray/neuter and shelter medicine), and outdoor programmatic spaces.
