Document Description
A Coastal Development Permit, Conditional Use Permit, and Special Permit for the construction of a new 70-foot tall cellular communications tower and associated facilities. Pursuant to Section 313-99.1.1.1 Humboldt County Code, the applicant is requesting a Special Permit to allow the proposed tower to exceed the 45 foot height limit specified in the Commercial General (CG) zoning district. The property is currently host to a mixture of residential and commercial development. The tower is proposed to be located near the center of the approximately 1-acre property, in an area currently developed with an existing storage building. This will require partial demolition and removal of a portion of this existing structure to enable siting and development of the tower and associated lease area. The tower will be of a monopole design capable of supporting occupancy by multiple carriers. Six panel antennas are currently expected to be installed near the top of the proposed tower.
