Document Description
The proposed Project consists of construction of a pump station to be located in the existing prism of the East Side Canal at the point where water from the canal is conveyed into a siphon under the Mariposa Bypass and discharged into the East Side Conveyance Canal. Installation of two pumps and two 50-horsepower motors on the pump station will enable the capacity of the existing siphon to be increased from approximately 22 cubic ft per sec (9,874 gallons per minute) to 30 cfs (12,465 gpm), an increase that will compensate for the loss of capacity that occurred when improvements to the East Side Conveyance Canal.
