Document Description
The Chromium-6 Water Treatment Facilities Project is a water treatment project that will enable CVWD to achieve compliance with the new hexavalent chromium (also called chromium-6) regulation that was promulgated by the State of CA and became effective July 1, 2014. The project consist of construction and operation of three treatment facilities, associated pipelines, and improvements at various well sites as identified in the EIR. The project is located in the Coachella Valley; central Riverside County, CA. The drinking water wells that would receive treatment are located in Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Thermal. The treatment facilities are located in Desert Hot Springs, La Quinta, and Thermal.
