Document Description
WBMWD has been working with regional business partners to expand the use of recycled water use in place of potable water waste. West Basin has been evaluating an expansion of the CRWRF. Since 2000, the CRWRF produced two qualities of recycled water for Tesoro's Carson Refinery: nitrified tertiary disinfected recycled water for cooling towers and single pass reverse osmosis recycled water for boiler feed and cooling towers. At this time, West Basin has developed a project proposal to provide an additional 2,240-acre ft per year of tertiary nitrified recycled water. The environmental evaluation complies with California Environmental Quality Act requirements as stated in Article 17.
