Document Description
The purpose of this project is to implement Mitigation Measure Trans-3 of the Berth 136-147 [TraPac] Container Terminal Project EIR for the upgrading of easterly/southerly side of Alameda Street, between Anaheim Street and Harry Bridges Boulevard and adjoining street intersections to provide improved infrastructure to accept increased traffic from existing and proposed projects located primarily within the Port of Los Angeles and Wilmington Industrial Park and to adequately dispose of storm flows during rain storms and high tides. The project will add additional travel and turn lanes, new traffic signals, and upgrade street intersections and railway crossings that intersect with Alameda Street (East 'E' Street, Eubank Avenue, and Harry Bridges Boulevard). The storm drain system is inadequate to properly handle flows, especially during times of high tides, which can cause flooding during rain storms. The project will add additional storm drain infrastructure to address these flooding issues.
