Document Description
Currently, backwash water at the CSP-Solano water treatment plant is discharged into the City of Solano sanitary sewer system. The project is to construct a holding pond for the prison's backwash water so that it can be sent through the head works of the prison's water treatment plant for purification to produce potable water. The new pond will be constructed next to existing holding ponds in a developed and disturbed area of the prison. The project will result in water conservation and savings in sewer system disposal costs.
