Document Description
The Department of General Services project includes tenant improvements for placing the State of California Coastal Conservancy in vacated space on the 10th floor of the building. Miscellaneous tenant improvements and various accessible upgrades will include infill walls to create offices, signage, elevator grab bars, carpeting, windows, doors, hardware and sidelight in new locations.

The project is a tenant improvement in an existing State building. CEQA Section 15301 Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features involving negligible or not expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. The project is not in an environmentally sensitive area. The Department of General Services confirms that no exceptions apply which would preclude the use of a Notice of Exemption for this project.
