Reasons for Exemption
WWD will serve as the CEQA lead agency for installation of a new pump-in structure at MP 141.02R of the WWD needs an encroachment permit from DWR to install the pump-in partially on DWR's right-of-way (ROW). WWD and its contractors will benefit from the project. WWE is the CEQA lead agency for construction of the pump-in. DWR is the agency responsible for giving permission to WWD to temporarily encroach on DWR's ROW for construction of the pump-in. Work will consist of minor alterations in land use, and although the pump-in will be placed on an Aqueduct slope that is greater than 20 percent, no change to the slope will occur. Categorical Exemption 15305 (b) can be applied.
