Document Description
The proposed project involves Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility improvements to the existing Ferry Landing parking lot located in the northwest corner of the Port Coronado Associates leasehold in the City of Coronado. The proposed project will relocate and modify three existing accessible parking stalls and upgrade one existing accessible parking stall or a warning system in place between pedestrian areas and vehicular areas which are requirements of the current ADA accessibility code and the cross slope of the existing accessible parking stall exceeds the current ADA accessibility code. After project construction the parking lot will include four ADA-compliant parking stalls and a new path of travel to comply with the most current ADA accessibility code requirements. The proposed project will not decrease the availability of parking stalls in the lot as a whole because the stalls that are currently marked as accessible will be converted back to standard-sized parking stalls and the total number of parking stalls will remain the same.
