Document Description
The purpose of this activity is to revise guidelines previously adopted by the CA Energy Commission to governt he certification of eligible renewable energy resources for purposes of the state's Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) pursuant to Public Resources Code section 25740 et seq. and Public Utilities Code section 399.11 et seq. The guidelines were revised to i) address changes in law as a result of Assembly Bill 1478 ( Stats. 2014, ch. 664), ii) incorporate requirements and criteria adopted by the CA Energy Commission in 2014 under Resolution Nos. 14-0422-11, 14-1007-10, and 14-117-14, iii) clarify various requirements and processes related to RPS certification and verification, and iv) improve the clarity and organization of the guidelines. The CA Energy Commission, operators and developers of eligible renewable energy resources, and electric utilities and other market participants in the RPS benefit from the adoption of revision to these guidelines.
