Document Description
Relocate a section of the hull from the old steam schooner the "Point Arena" to Pigeon Point State Historic Park from Ano Nuevo State Reserve to improve interpretation for the vessel that ran aground off Pigeon Point in 1913. The project will involve stabilizing and securing he hull for transport to its new location at Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park. At its new location the ship hull will be placed on a custom made concrete and wood base foundation near the Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Some native vegetation wil be removed to accommodate the base foundation and the area around the display will be level graded and compacted to accommodate accessibility requirements.The existing interpretive panel will also be relocated and installed adjacent to the relocated ship hull.
