Document Description
The proposed project would construct approx. 460 linear feet of new 36-inch High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) sanitary sewer pipeline across Interstate Highway 880 between N. McCarthy Blvd. and Heath Street in Milpitas in a new alignment using trenchless technology. Approx. 350 linear feet would be replacement-in-place of existing sewer pipe in existing trenches. Approximately 1,000 linear feet of existing 27-30-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) sewer main would be abandoned in place. Approx. 100 LF of 27 and 33-inch RCP pipe would be removed. The project would include associated appurtenances, new manholes, sewer laterals, replumbing of existing sewer laterals to new sewer main, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and landscaping restoration. Excavation for the sewer facilities could reach depths up to 25 feet.
