Document Description
DTSC pursuant to authority granted under Ch. 6.5, Cal. Code Regs., tit. 22, Section 66270.61 has issued an Emergency Permit to the DK Dixon to transfer hazardous waste from a tanker truck into another container. The permit allows for approx. 210 gallons of used antifreeze Dixon, CA. The antifreeze was tested and found to have a flash point of less than 140 degrees. This classifies the waste as ignitable under the RCRA. DK Dixon does not have a permit to manage RCRA hazardous waste and the tanker truck does not meet the specifications that would allow it to transport ignitable hazardous waste. Once the hazardous waste is transferred to an appropriate container, it will be transported offsite for proper disposal.
