Document Description
The purpose of the FLOD Maintenance Project is to conduct maintenance at 33 District flood control facilities (dams, basins, and spreading grounds). Permitted maintenance of the Project facilities would provide flood protection for the next five years to public and private property as well as other District facilities. An additional longer-term Permit to conduct maintenance in a majority of the District's flood control facilities, including the FLOD facilities, is being considered in a separate project. The Project includes the following maintenance activities: vegetation removal, land clearing/excavation, herbicide application, stockpiling, and ingress/egress road maintenance. The site is not located on any list of hazardous waste facilities, properties, or disposal sites as enumerated under Section 65962.5 of the Government Code.
