Document Description
CDFW has executed streambed alteration agreement no. 1600-2014-0209-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the project applicant, San Antonio Water Company, represented by Mr. Charles Moorrees. The project consists of the in-kind repair and/or replacement of the seven existing gabion walls (crosswalls) within Cucamonga Creek and the excavation/removal of approximately 200,000 cubic yards of aggregate materials from between the crosswalls. The crosswalks were originally constructed in 1926 to capture and slow storm flows and allow for percolation of surface water. Since their construction, the crosswalls have been damaged and sediment, sand, and rock have accumulated behind and between each crosswall, limiting their function and reducing the design capacity. The Agreement authorizes impacts to up to 22.34 acres of habitat subject to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
