The project is proposed at the UCSD East Camus North Mesa Housing complex. The 10-ac redevelopment site would displace 11 two-story family apartment buildings containing 88 units, replacing them with 1,105 new units for graduate students, and students/faculty with families. The project would consist of 5 new apartment buildings ranging in height from 4 to 8 stories, and a 900 space parking garage. Utilities and infrastructure are locally available. The redevelopment project would assist the campus in meeting in goal of housing at least 50% of UCSD students on campus. Project is not in the coastal zone.
