Document Description
The Project would involve the installation of solar panels along the northern edge of the development of the Chiquita Water Reclamation Plant (CWRP) facility. The Project consists of installing an approximate one megawatt alternating current photovoltaic power system at the CWRP. The panels will cover approximately 80,000 sf and would be constructed on low-height, fixed supports located on the southern-facing slope. The panels would be interconnected with wiring to local inverters and combiners. The power would then be carried from the various combiners through underground conductors to a transformer that would increase the voltage from 480 volts alternating current (VAC) to 4,160 VAC. The 4,160 VAC power would then be connected to the CWRP's electrical switchgear in a manner that meets the requirements of the local energy supplier, San Diego Gas and Electric.
