Document Description
The Riverside County Flood Control and Conservation District proposes the construction, maintenance, and operation of a segment of the existing South Norco channel, stage 6 project. Improvements would consist of lining approximately 3,200 lineal ft of interim trapezoidal channel with concrete sideslopes and cobble-lined natural bottom, and construction of approximately 700 lineal ft of reinforced concrete box along the existing earthen channel alignment. The open channel extends from the intersection of 2nd street and Corona Ave, northeasterly to the southwesterly corner of the Norco Intermediate School property adjacent to Temescal Ave. Line S-1 would be a below-ground storm drain extending from the project crossing of 3rd St easterly within 3rd St to Hillside Ave, then northerly and southerly within Hillside Ave. Line S-5 would be a below-ground storm drain extending from the upstream end of the project, northeasterly across the Norco Intermediate School, along Hillside Lane, a private street, and then northerly within Hillside Ave.
