Caltrans proposes to improve the operation conditions of the I-405 freeway mainline, and its on-and-off ramps at Crenshaw Blvd./182nd St. in the City of Torrance, LA County, from pm 14.4 to 15.6. The project consist of increasing capacity/storage at the interchange by adding auxiliary lanes on both the northbound/southbound freeway mainline between the Western Ave. and Crenshaw Blvd/182nd St. interchanges, adding an additional lane to all existing on-and-off-ramps, constructing a new, two-lane on-ramp to southbound I-405 from Crenshaw Blvd., and geometrical improvements and widening of interfacing arterial streets.
