Document Description
AEWSD would implement the WCAEP to conserve water, conserve energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through three sub-project components:
1. Pilot in-lieu Project (also known as Sycamore in-lieu Project): a project to increase delivery of wet period water to approximately 1,062 acres of vineyards that currently rely on groundwater, and integration of the existing groundwater wells used for those vineyards into AEWSD's irrigation and power systems.
2. Sycamore Check Improvement Project: a project to modernize and restore capacity upstream of a key check structure and extend canal lining to a portion of AEWSD's canal system which will improve AEWSD's ability to receive, regulate, and conserve water.
3. NRCS Promotion: AEWSD will increase promotion of NRCS' EQIP program to AEWSD customers.
