The Mesa 500-kV Substation Project would include demolishing the existing 21.6 acre Mesa 220/66/16-kV Substation and constructing a new 72.1 acre substation at the same site. Other activities would include transmission, subtransmission, and distribution structure work; relocation of a waterline at the substation site; new and modified telecommunications lines; temporary modifications at a Pasadena Substation; equipment upgrades at 27 substations; undergrounding of overhead streetlight conductor spans; and replacement of a transmission structure.
