Document Description
Merced County Public Works Department is working with Merced County Administration and the Merced County Sheriff's Department to construct a new County jail buildings and remodel adjacent existing jail facilities at John Latorraca Correctional Center. The proposed new and remodeled facilities will occur entirely within the existing JLCC property. It includes construction of four new buildings including a program and services building, intake/transfer/administration building, two-story jail, and kitchen and laundry building. The County will also remodel existing dormitory space and upgrade infrastructure, including adding a new well, water tank and resized wastewater line, to accommodate the expansion.
