Document Description
CALFIRE Blanchard Fire Station is located at the intersection of Bonds Flat Road and Highway 132 at 2990 CA-132 in Tuolumne County near the community of La Grange. Due to prolonged drought conditions, the station needs to access two existing wells on the property to augment its limited water supply. The station is located on open grassland, and surrounded by blue oak woodland and rural residential development. The station is approx. 950 feet above sea level in elevation. The proposed project will consist of digging two trenches with a back hoe, excavator, or trencher to connect the two wells to the fire station. Water lines and electrical lines will be buried in the trench, which will be back-filled with dirt. Trenches will be 18 inches wide and three feet deep. Total length of trenches will be approx. 1,500 feet. Additionally, two 5,000 gallon water storage tanks will be placed on the site at the approx. location shown on the attached sketch. The approx. time frame to complete the project is two weeks.
