Document Description
The proposed project is derived from an awarded California Fire Safe Council grant that has allowed amended acres to be treated for the phase III project. This work is focused on forest/fuels maintenance within open common space areas adjacent to residential properties within the community of Northstar. The residential properties that have area adjacent to to this proposed work have been completed or are in the process of having state and district required defensible space work done to meet compliance. The project is being done to create public safety in the event of a wildfire and is identified as a priority in Northstar's Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). The project consists of two sites, site #1 is 7.37 acres and site # is 81.90 acres.
