Document Description
The project is limited to one encroachment to replace a two-span, single lane, cast-in place reinforced concrete deck on Bailey deck trusses constructed in 1948. The new bridge will consist of a single-span, pre-stressed, cast-in-place box girder structure. it will be longer than the existing bridge to accommodate the current hydraulic capacity of the channel. The new bridge will not require the use of permanent supports in the stream channel, and the existing in-stream pier will be removed. Vehicular access to Big Flat Road will be maintained with a temporary detour and bridge crossing downstream of the existing bridge.
