Document Description
To alleviate flooding, sediment will be removed annually for up to five years from 100 linear feet of Butano Creek beneath the Pescadero Creek Road bridge and the area immediately upstream and downstream of the bridge. The work area extends approx. 30 feet upstream from the upstream face of the bridge. The accumulated sediment to be removed beneath the bridge is up to 10 feet deep and 50 feet wide and is approx. 1,455 cubic yards. Prior to conducting excavation and dredging activities, vegetation established on the accumulated sediment and access paths to the channel will be removed. There will be no trees removed in subsequent years as the maintenance area will be kept clear of woody vegetation to maintain access to the sediment removal areas. CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 160-2015-0113-R3 pursuant to section 1602 Fish and Game Code, to the Permittee, San Mateo County.
