Document Description
The project addressed in this Addendum involves the decontamination and deconstruction of the remaining non-regulated buildings or units at the project site (hereafter referred to as the “Exide Facility Non-Regulated Buildings Decontamination and Demo Plan”). The decontamination and deconstruction approach would generally follow the procedures outlined in the approved Exide Facility Closure Plan and Exide Facility Closure Implementation Plan (CIP) to ensure that the lead-containing dusts are safely removed from the on-site structures prior to deconstruction to protect both site workers and the surrounding community. The proposed modification to the project would export a total of approximately 3,500 cubic yards of material and would import a total of approximately 380 cubic yards of material, resulting in a total of 238 truckloads of material (assuming 18 truckloads for in haul of imported backfill, and 220 truckloads for outhaul of exported material).
